Tsinghua Vice President Gong Ke attended the annual meeting of the Association of University Technology Managers (AUTM) held in the U.S. from February 4-5.

Vice President Gong delivered a speech on Technological Innovation and Social Commitment—Perspective and Practice of Tsinghua” in a workshop on Technology Transfer in China.” He explained the historical transformation of Tsinghua University, how the university combines education and research, and Tsinghua's standards and achievements in technological innovation and development of talented staff.

He also exchanged ideas with representatives on a variety of topics, such as basic and applied research at Tsinghua, methods for evaluating the academic levels of the staff, and how to handle the problem of intellectual property rights in international cooperation.
