HP Senior Vice President and director of HP Labs Dick Lampman visited the School of Information Science and Technology (SIST) on March 16.

He was welcomed by Vice President Gong Ke, who is also dean of SIST.

Lou Jing, director of the Office of Information of the Ministry of Education, gave a speech about the application of information technology in education. Vice President Gong outlined the current research and development in SIST.

The two sides also discussed on cooperation in the fields including CERNET, China Grid and Software Definable DTV.
