Dr. Mario Pinto, vice president of Simon Fraser University in British Columbia , Canada , visited Tsinghua on March 23.

Vice President Gong Ke met and talked with Dr. Pinto about international collaboration between the universities, saying the visit would further strength the relationship between Tsinghua and Simon Fraser University.

Dr. Pinto stressed the importance of cultural interchange between universities. The two vice presidents also discussed possibilities for student and faculty exchanges, and joint degrees.

After the talk, Dr. Pinto toured the Department of Chemistry, the Institute of Biomedical Informatics and several labs in Tsinghua, and talked with experts from the Department of Computer Science and Technology.
