Tsinghua SEM wins Copenhagen Business School Case Competition 2007

 

 

Tsinghua SEM beat 11 other teams to become the winner of the 2007 Copenhagen Business School Case Competition.  

At the Award Banquet in the marvelous rooms of Moltkes Palae, the result of CBS Case Competition was announced on March. 2 by the LEGO Group, the case company of this year's event. 

Made up of four senior students, Sun Wei, Lin Chen, Lei Huanzhong from Department of Finance and Cao Wei from Department of Accounting, Tsinghua SEM Team beat two other finalists, McGill University, Montreal, Canada and University of Melbourne, Melbourne, Australia to become this year's winner of one of Europe's biggest business case challenges. 

 Assistant Professor Zhu Tao from Department of Management Science and Engineering, and Assistant Professor Wang Kun from Department of Accounting served as faculty advisors of Tsinghua SEM team.

Launched in 2002, the Copenhagen Business School Case Competition is an undergraduate competition for selected business schools worldwide, where the students' abilities to solve a realistic business challenge are in focus. Each year 12 teams are invited. The objectives of the Copenhagen Business School Case Competition are to strengthen internationalisation through the enhancement of student and faculty networks, and to serve as a means of inspiring innovation among business schools. Tsinghua SEM took part in the Copenhagen Business School Case Competition for the first time in 2006 and went to the final round with University of British Columbia, Canada and National University of Singapore.
