Congrats to our alumni who have been elected as members of the National Academy of Engineering! They are Jie Xue (Chemical Engineering, 1980), Vice President of Technology and Quality, Cisco Systems, USA, and Xuedong Huang (Master, Class of 1982, Computer Science), Chief Technology Officer of Global Artificial Intelligence, Microsoft.
Being elected to the National Academy of Engineering is one of the highest professional honors for experts in engineering. Jie Xue was elected for her engineering leadership contributions to the development and manufacturing of high-reliability network products, while Xuedong Huang was elected for his technical contributions and leadership in speech and language technologies and products, including the development of cloud-based intelligent systems.
