Sino-American Youth Dialogue

With the continuous expansion of the world economy, carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere have surged. Extreme disasters induced by global warming keep popping up. The world is undergoing irreversible climate change. It is in everyone’s stake to protect the planet we call home. We must confront the problems brought to mother nature by climate change and seek solutions in cooperation, sharing responsibility as two major countries and collectively building “a community with a shared future for mankind”.

On April, 2021, China Special Envoy for Climate Change Xie Zhenhua and U.S. Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry met in Shanghai and jointly issued the <China-US Joint Statement Addressing the Climate Crisis>. Marked  the China and America two countries have begun to jointly build and promote a win-win global climate governance system. To advance the world's climate change governance and to highlight the responsibility and commitment of Chinese and American youth on this issue, we will hold the Sino-American Youth Dialogue on Climate Change. We hope that through youth exchanges between two countries, mutual trust and consensus will be enhanced and the younger generation can play an important role in building a community of shared future for mankind.
