What is the Asian Universities Alliance?
The Asian Universities Alliance (AUA) was first proposed by Tsinghua University and later established in Beijing on April 2017, with 15 leading Asian universities as its founding members. The Alliance aims to jointly address regional and global challenges, specifically related to higher education and economic, scientific and technological development, by strengthening collaboration among member institutions.
Since its establishment, the Alliance has held more than 60 activities and events in China, South Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, UAE, Kazakhstan, Sri Lanka and Myanmar, including overseas study programs, arts and sports events, academic conferences and presidents forums. AUA also published two research reports on higher education, gradually gaining influence in the field of higher education in Asia and beyond.
Tsinghua University holds the current Presidency for the Asian Universities Alliance, and permanently hosts the secretariat of the Alliance.
What are the thematic activities for AUA's fifth anniversary?
In order to celebrate the 5th anniversary and broadcast the voice of Asian higher education to the world, AUA will hold a series of activities this year, such as:
· AUA Presidents Forum
· AUA Scholars Roundtable
· AUA Youth Roundtable
· AUA Photo Contest
· AUA Academic Conference
What are the main responsibilities of AUA-5 Youth Ambassadors? When and where do they work?
Position 1: Planning for Major Events
1) Liaise with invited guests
2) Draft event documents
3) Assist in the coordination of events
Position 2: Brand Image Promotion
1) Plan promotional activities
2) Write activity reports (Author's name will be included)
3) Compiling information for the 5th anniversary
Working hours: An average of 6 hours per week, will be busier during the event; March-June 2022
Place of work: Tsinghua University, Gueyue Tang West; Online/Remote

How do you become an AUA-5 Youth Ambassador?
· Application Requirements
1. You are a current student of Tsinghua university (not limited by major and year)
2. You possess a high level of communication and writing skills in English and/or Chinese (the working language of the Alliance is English)
3. You are interested in learning about international exchange and/or the operation of educational programs
