Do you particularly want to know how product innovations are implemented and managed from Tsinghua iCenter to Pre-Nasdaq company which invented a cutting-edge electrical motor-cycle (two-wheeled robot) as shown in the pictures?

Do you want to learn and practice how to innovate with teachers and classmates from different countries in an international environment?

Do you want to turn your and your classmates' ideas into products and then find investors to go to market on a large scale?

Do you know the relationship between product innovation management and project management?

If you answered the above questions in the affirmative, then you are welcome to join this summer course on September: Introduction to Project Management and Product Innovation Development.

This course is an English seminar course conducted by Feng Zhu, a teacher from iCenter. You will study project management and product innovation management in groups with students from different departments in different countries, and exercise your communication and writing skills.

Through the two-day study, discussion and practice of the summer weekend, you can initially establish the students' engineering project management ability, innovation ability, communication and collaboration ability, international learning and work ability, and finally be able to carry out innovation and project management in an international environment.

The course is assessed in P/F. There are no prerequisites for this course, but the course handouts, explanations and discussions are all in English. Students from various majors and colleges are welcome to sign up.

Feng Zhu is a senior lecturer at iCenter with varied international experience on engineering and business. His research interests including Artificial Intelligence, Intelligent Manufacturing, Internet of Things, Industrial Internet, 5G/6G communication, E-Commerce, and Digitalization Business where he published 20+ international papers and patents. He worked at Ericsson, Amazon, Samsung, and Alibaba on different positions in different functions from engineer, manager to director. He got Ph.D. degrees on Tsinghua University with the highest honor, and MBA degree from Cornell University. He likes Running, Soccer, Tennis, and Swimming.

·Introduction (course, lecturer, students, assignment)

·Theoretical introduction: Project Management, Innovation Management, and Product Management

Day One Afternoon (4 units):

·Real case study: Davinci Tech, from Tsinghua lab to pre-Nasdaq

·Experience Davinci cutting-edge electric motorcycle

·Learn product innovation and project management by seminar

·Brain Storming: team’s innovative product

Day Two Morning (4 units):

·Venture Capital Introduction for successful case criterion

·Project management and a prototype development

·Preparing a presentation to Investors

Day Two Afternoon (4 units):

·Making a proposal (presentation) to Investors, to gain support and required investments

·Class discussion and feedback
