Normally, the summer vacation is a period of time when Tsinghua offers over ten international summer programs for students from across the world to broaden their global perspective and come into direct contact with Chinese culture, society and technology.
This year, the Tsinghua Global Summer School, themed A Healthy Planet for Sustainable Development, is a 7-day program organized collaboratively by 23 Tsinghua academic institutions. It explores innovative ways to solve critical challenges related to public health, society, economy, and environment, with sustainable development as a core reference point. The SDG Hackathon has been specially added into the program to strengthen the cultivation of students’ innovative thinking and to incorporate the values of sustainable development.
GSS aspires to integrate resources and inspire collaboration inside and outside the classroom, on- and off-campus, in China and in other countries, and online and offline.
