The COVID pandemic has brought great impact to our world, the uncertainty of the international platform has increased, and international security is facing unprecedented challenges. Under these circumstances, what are the trends of international strategy and security? How can we strive for a peaceful and stable international environment? How should we promote cooperation and conflict management among major countries? In what ways can we reflect on the process of globalization? By what means may we calibrate the predictions and expectations of the world and China?
The Third International Forum on Security and Strategy took place in Beijing between January 23-24, 2021 in an online and offline hybrid method. More than 60 well-known scholars and experts from China and abroad were invited to participate in the forum to conduct in-depth discussions on the above issues, gather the wisdom of many parties, and share the feast of ideas for the beginning of 2021.
The Third International Forum on Security and Strategy is one of the most important forums by the Tsinghua University Center for International Security and Strategy (CISS), which has already organized two forums in January 2019 and 2020. The theme of this forum is "The Changes in International Security and Strategy". Three parallel sub-forums will be held as well: “Great Power Relations: Cooperation or Conflict,” “Security and Military: Peace or War,” and “Globalization: Forward or Backward.”
