Tsinghua Professor Liu Fenrong from the School of Humanities was elected Corresponding Member by the Académie Internationale de Philosophie des Sciences (AIPS), a significant honor announced during their most recent meeting in Germany.
Born in 1975, Liu holds a position in the Department of Philosophy as a professor and also presides as the Amsterdam-China Logic Chair at the University of Amsterdam. She is also director of the Tsinghua University—University of Amsterdam Joint Research Centre for Logic. Her research spans dynamic preference logic, the study of social agency, logical foundations of artificial intelligence, and the history of logic in Chinese and Western traditions.
The AIPS, founded in 1947 and headquartered in Brussels, Belgium, is renowned as a premier academic institution and a senior honorary organization in the global philosophical community.
