At the meeting of the Tsinghua University Alumni Association on March 18, Tsinghua University President Li Luming was elected as president of the Association council.
President Li Luming, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Tsinghua Committee Xiang Botao, Vice Chairpersons of the University Council and Vice Presidents of the Alumni Association Jiang Shengyao, Ji Junmin, Wang Yan, along with Alumni Association Vice President Han Jingyang, attended the meeting. Vice Chairperson of the University Council and Vice President of the Alumni Association, Shi Zongkai chaired the meeting.

Li Luming delivers a speech.
During the meeting, Li outlined the university's accomplishments over the past year in areas such as talent development, scientific research, faculty building, global strategy implementation, campus construction and alumni relations. He emphasized the pivotal role of alumni work in strengthening the bonds and communication between the alumni and their alma mater, significantly contributing to the university's development. Expressing gratitude for the council members' trust, Li committed to working closely with them and the Alumni Association Secretariat to serve the alumni effectively, aiming to unite alumni in contributing to the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation through the Chinese path to modernization. He also encouraged the council members to offer suggestions and valuable feedback on the university's development and alumni activities.

The meeting approved the appointment of Zhu Liang, nominated by Tang Jie, secretary-general of the Alumni Association and director of the Alumni Office, as Deputy Secretary-General of the Tsinghua University Alumni Association. Additionally, Wu Chunyan, vice president of the Tsinghua Alumni Association in Germany, will also serve as Deputy Secretary-General of the Alumni Association in a part-time capacity.
