Tsinghua Professor Wang Shuxiao Elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry

Professor Wang Shuxiao from the School of Environment at Tsinghua University was recently elected as a Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), one of the most prestigious acknowledgments in the field of chemistry.

Established in 1841, the Royal Society of Chemistry is one of the world’s oldest academic institutions and of leading influence in the international chemistry community.

Its fellowship includes nearly 80 Nobel laureates and it is dedicated to advancing the field of chemical science. The Society selects fellows annually, recognizing researchers globally who have made outstanding contributions to the field of chemistry.

Wang, a professor and Ph.D. supervisor at Tsinghua University, also serves as the director of the State Environmental Protection Key Laboratory of Sources and Control of Air Pollution Complex.

She is also an associate editor for both Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) and Environmental Science & Technology Letters (ES&T Letters).

Her significant contributions span teaching and research in environmental science and engineering, focusing on achievements in emission inventories of air pollutants and greenhouse gases, atmospheric chemistry, regional air quality modeling, energy and environmental policies.

Wang’s election as an FRSC is a testament to her influential work in environmental chemistry and her commitment to advancing the field.
